Sangak, traditional iranian bread

ENGLISH–  Sangak is one of the traditional Iranian breads. It dates back to Safavid dynasty around 400 years ago. Sangak, literally means small stone, because it is baked on a bed of hot small stones.  The method of baking Sangak has remained unchanged from Qajar Dynasty, over 100 years ago, until now. The important thing about Sangak is that it is made of wheat bran flour. Therefore, it contain Vitamin A and B. Also, it is digestive.
After the dough fermented , it is flattened on a shovel , sprinkled with sesame seeds. Then it is put in oven on small stones to be baked. 
For an Iranian, a pleasant morning begins with hot, fresh Sangak topped with sesame seeds.


FRANÇAIS–  Sangak est un pain traditionnel iranien. Sangak est cuit sur une surface des petits pierres, donc littéralement il signifie petit pierre. Il se compose de son de blé. Aussi il contient de la vitamine A et B. Ç’est pour quoi le Sangak ç’est bon pour le santé. Pour des iraniennes un matin pleasant commence avec le sangak chaud saupoudré par sésame.
