Guide to visiting Golestan Palace: Royal Residence of Qajar Kings

Golestan Palace was Royal residence of Qajar dynasty. Also, it is the oldest historic place in Tehran.  The mirror work and tile work are astonishing.

Every day is open excluding official holidays 

spring, summer : 9-19

autumn, winter: 9-5

TICKET

At the ticket office, it is recommended to buy the main hall ticket. The entrance fee with the main hall ticket altogether is 300,000 rial.

DURATION

It takes around 1.5 hour to visit the palace.

HOW TO GO?

The easiest way to go to Golestan palace take metro. Take red line, descend from the train at Panzdah-e Khordad Station. As you exit, you can see the sign showing the direction to Golestan Palace. Walk east to find Davar alley on your left. You should cross the green space, then you will end up in Golestan Palace. It takes five minutes from the Metro station to Golestan Palace.
